1987 740 Turbo fire...Suggestions?

Suffered minor underhood wiring damage, and the paint burned off the hood this morning as the turbo caught fire at idle this morning. I need input on why and ID info on the turbo if I must replace the unit. My first thought was an oil fire as it was very hard to extinguish. Nothing was found laying on the turbo once the fire was out.
