Since I never did install the PAECO cam, I can't give a first hand report on its torque curve; the Blue Racer which I did use has very good low end response from a set of very similar basic timing specs (in my car it's pulling through an AW-71 automatic), but as the other person pointed out, basic cam timing specs are only a small part of the story of cam grinding, since lift rate, lobe separation, and even the amount of degrees that the cam grinder wastes on "quieting ramps" (which is another reason why a lot of solid lifter cams are also advertised with a set of specs for how many degress between a certain small amount of actual valve lift) can also make a big difference. What one needs is one of those graphs of area under the lift curve, but I doubt that PAECO can provide such an item.
My Haynes manual doesn't indicate any change in Celica 22RE motors up through '85 which would effect the installability of the cam, but there is one area of concern of which I assume you are aware: unless your rockers are of very low mileage and in perfect condition, you would probably want to put new rockers on a new cam, but the rocker stands on a 22R series motor are held on by the head bolts, which means, if you want to set a perfect example of conscientious mechanics' standards, you need to change the head gasket, too, rather than just torque the rocker shafts back down again.
But if you do want the cam, I'll send it for $85., including shipping.
