Headlight Lenses (Aero) 200 88

Starting to see ads (ebay) for new headlight lens "caps" to glue on and replace old scratched and yellowed lenses on 86-93 240s. Guess the original lamp backing is retained and reused with new lens.

Any one had any experience with doing this procedure? What kind of "glue"? My 88 can use new lenses.

Hi Robert

can you post the ad and the price? I have used clear silicone to keep moisture out of my head light, It probably works for glass also

From the ad, it appears you are looking at a familiar aftermarket replacement capsule by Valeo.

Not a replacement lense, but the entire unit.
