I have a V90 wagon which has been awesome so far. However, the reason I swapped this for my 850 GLT sedan was my two large dogs. The problem I have is getting cold air to the back of the wagon. What do people do if they have children in the third seat and they live in a hot climate? It is so hot back there. The A/C works wonderfully in the rest of the car. So, I am freezing in the front with all the vents pointed to the rear and the dogs are overheating in the back.
I have researched extensively and have talked with several people at a local (very large) dealership. They said there are air vents in the very back that are activated when the vent is turned to the bi-directional air flow (not on Auto). I tried this and don't feel any air at all in the back. They also suggested tinting the windows, which I am seriously considering.
The 2001 models have vents on the posts beside the front driver and passenger headrests, but I'm not convinced this will get air to the back. Also, I love my RWD and this car in general, so I'd like to keep it.
Any tips on cooling the rear and living in the south. I have to transport these dogs as they are working animals as well as vet visits and such.
