A/C Needs juice 200 1990

Would someone be able to tell me what type of freon was used originally on the 1990 Volvo. I cannot find any type of tag to tell me what type is in it. Most U.S. cars have it on the compressor, I cannot find it on this pump. I have acess to most types. Thanks Jon

Re: A/C Needs juice 200 1990

Jon:

R-12 was used in volvos until 1993. The tag on my 240 is on the crossbar at the front of the engine compartment, on the drivers side. It is a little orange tag and has the type of freon and the amount of charge.
