What glue to use for reverse light lense? 200 81

The small clear reverse light lense fell off of my wagon exposing the light body and bulb. I know this is a common occurance but what type of glue or sealant is used to secure it back in place?

Thanks,

Larry

If you're gluing plastic to plastic, I've had good luck with model airplane glue.

Stuff works great on plastic turn signal lenses etc., but you'll never get it apart again!

        That's the whole idea.

The Volvo replacement lens comes with a small tube of clear RTV silicone sealant and it seems to hold well. Best to choose an exterior/marine grade sealant with UV inhibitors. Clean the mating surfaces with something like isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol for good adhesion.

Marine silicone sealant is definitely the answer. 7 years ago I siliconed on the stern light lens on the transom of my sailboat. Every spring I check it and it's never budged. I also know that if I have to remove it I can use an x-acto blade.
