GETTING THE CAR STARTED 200 1989

The car first started with bad acceleration when you drive it first thing in the morning. Now it wont start until it's kinda warm outside. I'll try to start it around 8:00am and all it will do is turn over but not start. And then I'll try it again around 11:00am and it will start pretty easily with just a little hesitation. What could be the problem? Thanks for any responeses.

Re: GETTING THE CAR STARTED 200 1989

My first instinct would be bad ignition wires. They get worse when they're damp and improve when they warm up and dry out.

Q: are they the original wires?

Q: is it raining or foggy when this happens?

Check the ground to the fuelpump,,the 89-90 240's ECU is notorious for going out and these are the same symptoms I had until I replaced the ECu with a Rebuilt one that has the stronger chips installed . Get set to spend "mucho dinero" ($575 for mine). Genaro.
