battery compatibility - 1991 740 700 1991

I have had trouble finding a new battery for my 1991 740. The only place I can find which has a compatible battery in stock is sears and they want close to $100. I am hoping to spend less

I am wondering whether I can buy a battery at kmart or walmart and use it in my car. Is the main issue the terminal size and location? Do I need to worry about any thing else? Any suggestions?

I just go to Sams and get their best titanium and drop it in. These are center poles on the batteries. The first time I had to move the ground to a different frame position, but that was no prob as there already is a bolt located closer to the battery position.

Go to Wallmart and get a size 24F. It fits perfect and is only $29.99

Gilles: Have you tried your local auto parts stores? Auto Zone, Discount Auto.I think Kmart or Walmart will have a battery fit you car. Good luck.

Size is group 47, top post, if they have it in stock. Group 47 is an international size, so most mass merchandisers don't have it.
