Dropping Multilink 700 1990

I have a 760T and really want to drop the car but the problem with my car is the rear suspension(Nivomat).I want to get rid of my nivomats and put regular shocks, what kind are recomended and what brand. If somebody has done please help me out.

I did exactly what you wish to do to my previous 780, an '89. Check out the 700/900 FAQ under the rear suspension section. I posted a detailed description of the procedure there. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

nivomat isn't the problem, the irs is.

I've taken the nivomats off live axle 760T's and replaced the stock springs with HD/lowered springs and bilsteins. Works well.

I'd try a set of IPD swaybars before lowering the car.

It's too bad IPD doesn't have a rear anti-sway bar for the IRS. A 19mm bar was standard on the rear of 1991 and later IRS cars (940SE,960,780).

IRS Swaybars from IPD 700 1990

Talk to Jeff Wickersham about that... he's got a group of us together and IPD is doing a limited production run. Might not be too late to get a set :)
