front suspension work 200 85

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of front end repair and was wondering about packing or not packing new rack boots with a lubricant. Maybe just paint the joints with some joint grease and put it on thick? Any suggestions?

Dan

Re: front suspension work 200 85

If you can work some lube onto the ballsocket for the tie rod, thats ok, and I always clean and put some light grease on the rack gear, but I don't think pack is the word I would use. Too much grease will block the air passage from side to side in the rack and the boot will blow off when you turn the wheels.
