O2 sensor removal 900 1994

This question actually refers to an O2 sensor in the cast iron manifold of my 1984 Firebird, it's the original with 185K on it.

I have been spraying it with PB Blaster. The service manual recommeds removing the sensor with the engine warm.

How easy is it to remove the sensor without destroying the manifold and/or the sensor or the manifold threads? I have the factory O2 sensor socket.

Greg
