question- heated seat problems 200 1980

same volvo- 1980 245 wagon. i retrofitted heated seats from a 1987 wagon

into it, and put the switches in the instrument panel. hooked it up like i thought i took it apart. but, no lights come on when i hit either switch.

my electrical diagram seems to suggest that i need to run one of the switches to a relay, and the other directly to the fuse box. is this true? do i need a relay? if so, where can i get one and must it be a volvo relay or are there others i can use?

again, to brickheads of the world (myself included), thanks for your help.
