Best source for brake master cylinder 1962 PV544? 444-544 1962

My 58 year old brake master cylinder is leaking and I'm thinking of just replacing it. Anybody recommend the best source for these? Are there different model numbers I should be aware of? I definitely want one with a drilled cap to accept the remote fluid reservoir. Thanks.

Best source for brake master cylinder 1962 PV544? 444-544 1962

Hello,

There were 2 different brake master cylinders, early without a remote reservoir for the PVs with B16 engines and the later version that is set up for a remote reservoir for PVs that came with B18 engines.

Unfortunately, they are not directly interchangeable as the 2 bolt holes for mounting the master to the frame are different lengths apart.

However, the early master can be converted to use a remote reservoir by installing an adapter brake master cap.

Either way, I have both brake master cylinders and the adapter cap in stock.
