Dear 95zombiekiller,
Hope you're well. When was the CPS replaced? If it is the factory-original, it is wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay past the end of its service life. The sensor itself doesn't wear. The wiring harness does deteriorate, especially where it the wires enter the sensor housing. This area is next-to-impossible to see, as it right on top the transmission bell housing. You need a strong light and a mirror on telescoping rod.
As has been noted, not all pin positions on the Air Mass Meter connector are used. A faulty air mass meter would cause problems all of the time, not just when braking or turning.
Hope this helps.
Yours faithfully,
Spook
