hi arty b and Klaus- moe said always try the simple stuff first . said he learned that on the beach at Omaha when the shermans stalled. followed artys advice. 16a fuse at #5 in fuse panel seemed a little corroded on ends. emery papered the ends and the spring contacts. put it back in and rotated it. signals worked and have continued to work. hazard flashers worked before and after so had to be the circuit for the directionals. no more buzzing of relay. figure the corrosion reduced amperage out put for the directionals and caused the crapout and buzzing . oxidation and ozone generation, which is corrosive, on a high amperage circuit contributed. how do you like my electrical theory? rememba I=E/R . isn't the relay like most an electromagnetic connector? they are sensitive to amperage fluctuations. thanks tons oldduke btw- can you imagine the f bombs and gestures I would suffer if my directionals didn't work at a stop light launch? surely my feelings would be hurt.
