I have a suggestion for the Brickboard...

Code the date displayed in a post so it stands out when the post is aged beyond the reasonable time a writer might read a response. Something like this perhaps:

Wed Mar 4 11:27 CST 2004

It might prevent folks from expending the effort to provide thoughtful suggestions to folks who posted things 16 years ago.
