Hi folks. I'm looking for an accelerator cable for my 81 245 GLT with cruise control. Some of the cables I'm finding online specify that they are only for cars without cruise control. Other cables make no mention whether or not they fit cars with cruise control and I'm assuming that they don't. Does anyone have an idea which cable I need and where I might be able to find it? Thanks for the help! Vic

    I installed a factory cruise control from a dealer supplied kit into my 1981 242DL. The original cable is maintained with no changes.

      I'll order one of the cables that isn't listed as "w/o cruise control" and it sounds like it should work. Thanks for the info! Vic

        Yes, I have 2 cables that run side by side and attach to the same pulley assembly. My cruise control cable is in great shape but my throttle cable is hanging on by a thread!
        My confusion comes from reading the vendor's description of the cables. Some state that they are for cars without cruise control, and some don't specify anything about cruise control. I haven't found any that say they fit vehicles with cruise control.
        It sounds like there really isn't any difference in the cables from the input I'm getting. I went ahead and ordered one and will let you know how it works out. Thanks again for the help!
