My horn does not work. Fuse number 2 is fine. However, I have no power at he horn connector. I would like to check the horn activation assembly under the air bag. How do I get to it? I removed the top and bottom panels on the steering column. How do I get to the little switch that rubs against big copper ring? Thanks...

As was suggested, you can also use a jumper to ground the horn as well as a jumper for power.

I actually carry a small kit with some connectors, a crimping tool, and some long jumpers and wire to fashion any temporary electrical repair in my 544.

Horn is fine. It beeps if I bring power to it directly from battery.
I have no power at the regular horn connector. I think something is wrong with the switch on the steering column. I need to get to it to test it.

Disconnect the battery before looking behind the steering wheel center. Time to junk yard a Clock Spring or Search the Internet. $$$$$$$$.

I'm all set. I disconnected the battery and pulled off the air bag assy. I didn't disconnect it, just moved it to the side. I found that the spring loaded horn switch was pushed out about half an inch, making no contact on the ring bellow. I sprayed it with lubricant and pushed it back in. I also put a dab of glue on top of it to prevent it from popping up again. Next, I put the air bag assy back in place. Now horn works great.

STOP!!!! disconnect the neg terminal,,,wait a few mins,,,the air bag may go off!!
Check the ground connections under the dash clean w steel wool,,,then plug in battery & try it aain,,

Check your electrical connection at the horn. Test the horn with a 12 volt jumper .
