I zapped it. I had a race condition and a number of inefficient code/query problems (some of it circa 2001).
The site should be stable again.
I will be launching a rebuilt server, probably this weekend. This could cause downtime, but I'll try to announce prior to downtime. I will be moving the resources to Ohio servers. Where you are shouldn't matter since the content is served from the nearest peer cache.
Interesting to note: the current server was built in 2008. It's a beta distro, actually and on an early hypervisor (AWS host). As a security practitioner, this has been hard to stomach, but I've kept it safe pretty diligently despite the lack of support for the distro.
Sorry if anyone has lost their work/posts during the last week. It's been a battle getting the site back to stability.
Thank you to those sending support. I especially appreciate those who have done monthly renewals. $10/month from about 10 people will be all that it takes to pay for the site.
