Can anybody recommend where to get a genuine Volvo OEM crankshaft pulley for a B230?

Nobody has one.

Tasca has one for $450.

???

I was doing the timing belt on my 94 940 and noticed cracking in the rubber of the crankshaft pulley, so I wanted to change it as a precaution. The motor only has 89k miles on it, but could the rubber be failing from age?

And yes, I want the genuine OEM part. Every single part on my 940, including the spark plugs, is genuine Volvo.

I tried to order a pulley from Volvo Parts Webstore.No joy. Their site let me order it , then they emailed me and sent a refund.

I'll email IPD and see if they really do have the part.

Need to get back on the road, so I'll put the original pulley back on.

Does that bond fail with use or can it fail from age?

Are the aftermarket pulleys any good?

Tasca indicates discontinued PN 9135194.

Harmonic oscillation balancer damper or some such. Not merely a crank pulley or some such, yet it is a crank pulley.

I have yet to read failure of after market versions. Yet MTC being MTC with such great 240 PN 1272455 strut mounts, oop, as are OEM, now. iPd has the blue box and already listed for 172$ So there you go.

Wish I could buy one or two. I have a few junkyard spares. Doubt I'll be buying any more parts anymore ever again.

They all look cracked on the outside where the rubber exposed from age and weather. It's the mating lamination between the two part that matter. If your is not slipping, it's still good. They don't completely fail and come off the crank hub. Designed not too.
