Part number for Bosch alternator 900 1992

I am planing to replace alternator brushes on my Bosch alternator.
Spent decent amount of time searching for them on the internet. No luck so far.
It is Bosch alternator 0 123 500 005.
Puts out 14V and is rated 55 - 100Amps.
Some alternators have brush sets that can easily be pulled out with alternator in place. This is not the case here.
If anyone can tell me the part number for the brushes I would really appreciate it.

Brushes are Bosch PN 11011. 900 1992

How many miles?

Bosch 0 123 500 005 is 100A. Your 1992 940 is Turbo?

Bosch 0 123 500 005 is NLA.

According to FCP Euro, the current Bosch alternator application for your 1992 Volvo 940 is the 100A AL0750X.

You you would need to swap the belt pulley.

The part number FCP Euro provides is Volvo PN 8251744 and is Nippon Denso and NLA from Volvo.

If you reside West Coast your can try iPdUSA or another retail vendor or an i-net outlet.

Yep, Spook lists the brush carrier / voltage regulator as is soled by FCP Euro.

The Bosch brush set PN 11011 may fit, yet research is inconclusive. Further, FCP marks the Bosch brush set PN 11011 as not compatible with 1992+ and elsewhere suggest 11011 does not work with 100+ A Bosch alternators. I'm unsure.

With the voltage regulator / brush carrier removed, spin the pulley as you have loosed the belt to do so. Are the bearings quiet?

Part number for Bosch alternator 900 1992

Dear Tim,

Hope you're well. The Bosch alternator's carbon brushes are Volvo part #3544572, according to Volvo VADIS, a superseded dealer parts/service database. It seems that in the 1992 models, the Bosch alternator (100 Amp) was standard.

I'm sure this VADIS parts diagram shows a Bosch (not Nippon Denso) alternator, because the Bosch voltage regulator (Volvo Part #9130518) is very different from the regulator on a Nippon Denso alternator. This Bosch part - based on photos on the www.fcpgroton.com website - seems to include the carbon brushes. See: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/saab-voltage-regulator-9-5-1197311213#fitment .

If you want only the carbon brushes, see: https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/products/Volvo/Carbon-brush-set-Genuine-Classic-Part/1141966/3544572.html .

Your local Volvo dealer may be able to supply the brushes. The cost should be about US$19-20.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,
Spook

Thanks Spook. I'll look for brushes now that I have the part number.
Years ago on my 740 model I was able to get regulator/brush assy listed in your reply and easily drop it in without taking the alternator out.
