740s had a regular change of a some of the transmission fluid.

I think that they drained the pan every 30K.

See a maintenance manual to check this.

Many folks do not recommend a full change for an older transmission.

Even in the 850 section some folks no longer advise a flush, but a - slow change - drop the fluid in the pan at every oil change until the transmission fluid looks good.

In one of the posts, someone figured how the concentration of older fluid changes with each pan drop.

How is the transmission fluid? You've flushed the fluid regularly with njew. Many prefer synthetic after using a mineral Dexron for the flush.
