Spongy Brakes 200 1988

You described master cylinder failure in your original post. Does the pedal also sink when you apply the brakes? If so, it is definitely a bad MC.

If you have a hard pedal and need to push on it with great effort to stop the car that describes brake booster failure. You’ve lost your power assist.
