145 Inline fuel pump mounting configuration 140-160

Hello Brickboard. I am in deep on the rebuild of the fuel delivery system of my 1974 145. Fuel tank is refurbished and back home. Looks beautiful. Have a new accumulator and new fuel pump. When I took it all apart (had been sitting in a barn for 26 years) there was a rubber mount that fell out in a shower of rust. I assume that this is one of a pair that held the fuel pump. Does anyone have a picture of what the original configuration looked like? I can't seem to find anything on the interwebs and all help is mightily appreciated. Thanks. Warren

If you can't find those rubber mounts with studs -- I worked at a Renault shop in the early 70's and they used similar mounts (same small size) to hang exhaust systems - too long ago to remember specific applicable models -- try R10, R12, R15, R17, R16. -- Dave

    look here-

the 75-77 240s used the same as the 74 140s. provided the 140 fuel tank is original. if it was replaced under recall, look at the 78 and later 240s. recalled tanks don't have drain plugs, the original 1s do. good luck, chuck.

The 1974 switched to the K-jet, so I am at a total loss. My experience is all D-jet with the old fuel tank arrangement. However, GCP posts the parts catalog for the 140s and it has diagrams and part numbers. You want the 1973- catalogue.

    http://www.gcp.se/en/catalogues/model/140-en/

Navigating / scrolling through the parts catalogue to find what you want can be tedious; but, with a little effort you should find the diagrams that you need. The K-jet fuel system starts around page 86 or so.
