Is crank pulley the same on 1991 240 and 740 200 1991

If the 240 has the same size pulley as the 740 1991 I could get one from a junk yard 740. I would put it on the shelf as a spare part.

Does the 91 240 pulley have the rubber damper ring like the 740? I had an 82 240 and it was a solid pulley.

Specific to the engine type. The (not) so low friction engines with the fuel type and displacement. You have the newer low friction engine with the three number.

A 91 harmonic oscillation dampener (damper?) crank pulley as the rubber bush in it for your B230. Including the low friction turbo engines.

An 82 has a B21 or B23 and uses the solid crank pulley.

The engine are shared as of 1985/1986+ and 940. So, you can find hopefully good condition

The mechanical interface at the front of the crankshaft is different. So, no, not interchangeable between "we hope not to much less than low friction" and "low friction" engines.

The crankshafts are different. One is (older) drop forged and another is (newer) cast iron alloy or something? I dunno.

        A damper makes things smoother.
        A dampener makes things wetter.
It drives me crazy to read that a such-n-such shock absorber “dampens” the bumps.

Yes, I believe the first year of rubber spacer was 85 with the B230F and went up through the 940 series.
