The '68 rear view mirror mounts differently than other year 122's. I find the replacements are hard to come by. I learned recently from Bob Foltz ( He makes A/C brackets for B18's and B20's) that a 740 rear view mirror has the same ball mount. I ordered one on ebay and it works very well. Anyone needing a replacement should consider this.

I have found several "differences" while restoring my '68. Wagner brakes, with a "link rod" type self-adjuster, different seat-belt latches, different plastic escutcheons under the window crank handles, black plastic inside door handles, different knobs on the heater-defrost controls, etc. & I'm sure there are many more.

I've had a Volvo 700 series mirror in my '68 122 for over 5 years and I have sold and installed at least 1 in a customers car.

Works great!

FYI, this also works for early 140s.
