Alternatively you could just not follow so closely.

My company encourages a 4 second following rule. Gives you plenty of time to react. Most people follow with only a fraction of a second to react to something.

      Are you there, Uncle OldDuke?

I see you'd not posted since 16 April.

So, hope you're in fine fettle and all Volvo 240 and Saturn related auto issues are all in fine fettle.

I'll guess you're road tripping or maybe off the FL-state coast tripping catching some fine fresh fish in the mighty Atlantic? Some Red Snapper, Flounder, or Swordfish? Grilling it up on the sandy beaches on your fancy hibachi with your pals?

      Please lettuce all know.

      Happy Cinco de Mayo.

Or I call it "cheesy, beany, guacamole burrito, chips and salsa day and a few bottles of Pacifico pilsner-style beer." Pacifico is really delish. A real savory pilsner-style beer.

      Happy Sat-Your-Day!

    The Beeb!
I watch alot of Brit TV quirky detective series - avilable in the US thru Acorn on DVD.
All the of the Det Inspectors drive Volvos, most the the police fleet are Volvos -- not XC90s. But the BBC must get quite a deal in "free featured" cars ---
Remember when the Brit Coppers all drove Rovers. LOL

Worked on the laptop - just couldn't get my phone to cooperate. We are quickly approaching the greatest vehicle safety of all -- just stay home and tell the car to go get/do/take care of whatever you used to go do yourself. Then we can start with home and occupational safety.

Of course, to most automotive enthusiasts, it's the death of the automobile as we knew it. Safe to say (see what I did there?) I'm only interested in Volvo 240's and (perhaps) other models older than that. Old. Crusty. Just like me.

Can’t get that link to work - and can’t find titled article with a google search. I think Volvo lost their way quite some time ago.
