1800 ES for sale 1800 1973

Found one in nearby Chatham NJ. A mere $19.5k.

1973 Volvo P-1800 ES - 4 Spd w/ O.D. - $19500 (Chatham, NJ)

https://newyork.craigslist.org/jsy/cto/d/1973-volvo-1800-es-4-spd-od/6444702357.html

New D-jetronic fuel rail pressure regulator ... brake fluid looks dirty.

In late go-go 1980s, I had a chance to own a 1975 164e with M410, a 1972 p1800 coupe. Love the ES more so. The Volvo take on the shooting brake.

The C30 has nothing on the p1800, Polestar or no.

So much fun to drive one of these in fine fettle on the Marin County back roads. More than adequate power. Rather it be like that, with quaint torque and horsepower.

Hi Blindboy,

So, like you imagine the person that bought your lovely shootingbrake p1800 ES was out to flip it?

Seriously?

Really?

Can you get it back? How insensitive! Lest some emergency or something.

Volvo for life sort of a thing before the Volvo ad-works came up with that slogan.

You see 544s modded into pick up trucks for 23$k and 780s in seemingly fine fettle for 15$k on the ebay. These have been posted fro months on the eBay.

When I'm able to go for a fourth RWD Volvo, a 1972 Volvo 164 with M410 (4 speed + D type overdrive) with single or dual carb, it'll be in less than stellar condition needing mountains of works and parts, and it'll be like 6$k or something. No fan of rusty examples.

Well, hopes someone takes that p1800 ES to their forever home. A garage and maybe a home works mechanic lift. Knows to support the rear axle for the under the axle exhaust. Why I'm reluctant to let tire store and exhaust store butchers butch up the 240 lest I'm in a (raspberry or blueberry?) jam (ha-ha!).

I'd like that p1800 EX. Give it hugs every day. Be glad to swap in new steel timing gears and a D or K cam and here them steel gears or whirzz-whirzz-whrizz under proper toppity-toppity-toppity valve clearances.

Oh well.
