I need some retainer clips for the narrow piece of chrome trim along the base of the side windows of my 1985 244 GL. It's a little bitty white plastic thing that rotates 90 deg to lock in and then the trim slides over it. Do they still exist and if so, where might I get some? Thanks.

That clip has been NLA for a while.

I might be able to get some new ones, but they will cost at least $5.00 per clip and it will take at least a month to get.

8 years since your prior post. Hope all's aces with that 1985 240 GL! My best to the Seattle region; from Olympia to Bellingham.

You can research for the part numbers and check on dealership availability by searching this forum. (I could not find an entry here at prima fascia for the clips specific to the plastic trim beneath the 240 side glass.)

You may want to ask the stealership. Though price, if offered, may be very inexpensive. Get the Volvo part numbers. Using a web search engine, I found some results that may be useful to you:

Probably a preference for OEM Volvo clips. After market material may not be of enduring quality.
