No modifications are needed, but make sure you get the driveshaft as the front half is different for a 4 speed.

The 4 speed could be a M4 or a M40.

And Phil is mistaken. The M40 for a B16 has a special transmission case so it fits on any of the B16/B14/B4 bellhousings.
