China is Volvo and Volvo is China.
It is all unibody, and that unibody is FWD/AWD. The 240 is a unibody.
No longer the people's car, as with 240, 140, and so on back in time.
A luxury item with fitments three ways on them brake calipers for your recent 2015 S60 model, and you'll get the wrong part shipped in three ways from Volvo as you may have one of three front caliper models on that 2015 S60. Why did the no more than 18 month caliper fail?
We can no longer purchase a factory strut mount for a Volvo 240 (PN 1272455) from Volvo.
We may be free adverts as we motor in these 240s, yet Volvo, er Geely, has to make a renminbi or two.
I can't afford 70K$ for an S90 to replace the 240 when a NLA part means I sell it or park it junk it.
I feel RWD Volvo fancy is a pain in the Geely-Volvo arse.
Oh to be a bug, an electronic eaves dropping device in the bored room, when the Volvo Swedes and Geely Chinese 'debate' on an item to bring to market.
I'll assure you, Swedish Baklava, Volvo 240 and all RWD model sustaining engineering ain't one of them.
Fuzzy numbers?
