Despite all the cleaning there still may be a problem area on the sensor wheels.

There may be an intermittent connection to the ECU. As mentioned, check, clean and lube the connectors near the ECU under the passenger side dash (below inboard of glove box).

And of course, there is always the possibility of a 20 year old cracked wire...
