940 exhaust 900 1992

Morning,
I have a 1992 940 Regina with no EGR. The down pipe has rotted right at the V leaving a pin hole leak. I have a spare down pipe from a 1994 940 Bosch WITH EGR. Can I swap? My buddy tells me the gasket from down pipe to Ex Manifold is different for "with EGR" vs. "without EGR"? Nuts? What about downstream at the down pipe to cat connection? Anyone done this?
Paul

I had the same leak. I took a replacement pipe and gasket to a friend who owns a muffler shop. He said it was not worth changing the pipe he just welded the leak at the vee. Cost was $20.00.

exhaust manifolds at the header connection are the same.
at the cat top header they are either a fixed flange or spin flange irrespective of egr or non egr.

at the factory i think the 92 940 is a spin flange but you can make either work or mix and match if necessary
