Sunroof won't slide open but will vent 900

I finally fixed the driver side lifter arm but noticed that the cable won't go back as far as the passenger side. I can get it to vent position when pushing the sunroof button up but will not open all the way. Which way to push the button to get the roof to open all the way? Do you push and hold up button for it to go to vent then slide open or is it the other way around? Push down to slide sunroof open? Help please!

Figured it out. I had to first re-calibrate the motor. Instructions in the FAQ. I then needed to adjust the driver side cable with the motor out match the length of the passenger side cable. Put the motor back in and IT WORKS!!!

If the 900 is like the 700s. Vent position raises the rear of the roof. Then press to close the vent, release then press it again to slide it to the rear.

Ok so I tried it and this happens.
Press toggle button up the sunroof goes to vent with rear opening.
Press toggle button down sunroof closes
Pressed it again but nothing happens. Sunroof remains closed. It won't slide open.

Is the sound from the motor area, or the switch? Often the switch is the problem, you can replace it or sometimes take it apart and clean it, or spray it with something, PB or WD etc.
