whats with this damn hesitation? 700 1992

Sorry: I have a similar "hesitation" with my 91 Base 740. It runs and starts well, but will "hiccup" occasionally as if it is a "mis-fire" or as if "one injector didn't fire", or had no spark only for one time, which causes this interruption...My Volvo mechanics 35 years had him replace: Pre-Pump and filter, Crank position sensor, Suppression relay, installed used distributor assembly, new cap rotor plugs and wires. Also: Fuel pump relay, engine temp sensor, Ignition control unit. Today I took it back and it still does the same "miss occasionally", but runs so smoothly though...He says he no longer knows what to do. I am totally heartbroken at two times having this car in for same costly problems. Any advice would be also received gratefully! Sorry I cannot help you with your own set of issues...
