Cant really complain after 27 yrs and 200k. Looks like aftermarket is only choice and that being Meyle branded. Anyone have any input? Wheels should be unloaded when replacing as in supported? Or jacked up and dangling?
Thank you.

I got Meyle end links from FCP after I broke one because they're reasonably priced. No reason they shouldn't last. Mine broke trying to undo the nut at the top after insufficient soaking with penetrating oil. I just drove with one missing until I got a new pair and got around to installing them.

"Wheels should be unloaded when replacing as in supported? Or jacked up and dangling?"

Emphasis on the plural, either way.

Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

And if doing both, do one at a time. Don't loosen both.

Effect:

"End link top snapped off sway bar flopping in the breeze now"

Cause:

"I have IPD bars with hd poly bushings" + potholes

Or in some cases, without the potholes.

~ Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Or combination of potholes+16inch Hydra wheels+daughter driving+ age. Car felt a little sloppy after she left to go back to college. Discovered it when I took snows off and did brake pads all around 70K miles on PBR deluxe organics with life left on them still.

I have used several Meyle end links, and they all have 1 to 2 years of service without problems.

I find it easier to jack up the front wheel, remove the tire to do the job.

If you can find Lemforder use that instead. Lemforder is OEM for front end parts on a lot of Volvo's.

IPD sells a HD kit but it is very expensive!
