Fixed my post AMM air intake boot. Cost 12 bucks.. Worked awesome. I'm sold, and it's guaranteed. So there's that. I just thought I'd share, the tape was sticky, and stretched nicely.

Awesome - looks like it would be very useful for wrapping/protecting wires too.

I grabbed a roll of F4 tape (see here: http://www.f4tape.com/). It is cheaper to buy if you just search it on Amazon, rather than buy it from the F4Tape website.

Looks great. I repair mine with a sealer and tape but the tape has little flex and the hose doesn't fit naturally.

I'll try True Value or mail order. Search on their website showed the nearest store with it ~90 miles from me.

Better than my liquid electrical tape from a can into the holes and applied in layers too!
Will have to see how it holds up to engine heat. I expect it will!

I found it at my local true value.. I'm sure you could get your hardware store to carry it, if they don't already. Very nice though.
Of course, I cleaned the boot with window cleaner and made sure it was nice and warm.. But the tape feels like it's got some silicone in it. Easy to do one unbroken wrap. Stupidly, I didn't. Don't think it's going to be a factor tho'.
But, I'd recommend starting from the top and just working your way down in one strip. Obviously like wrapping a pipe. I almost considered wrapping each of the ends with a srtip of gorilla tape, but it didn't look like it needed it. Now, it looks and feels re-inforced. No word on long term yet, but you get so much of that tape, you could do it a few times...
