this is more of a theoretical question. i can't get my tie rod end off. I sprayed it with Kroil already for a couple of days and it's still not budging. So next resource would be using a torch.
My question - do i destroy the tie rod (other side connecting to the steering rack)? I don't want to get this one loos only because i heat it up.

    Penetrating oil won't work, like on threads, because they're a tight fit with no spaces. One method is to whack it from both sides with a pair of big hammers.

    I've had good luck heating and then melting paraffin wax into threads, let it cool. Repeat. You don't have to heat it so hot that it'll destroy things.
