Can I start/drive my 740 8cyl with the instrument cluster removed? 700

1992 wagon, Base, B230F. Looks like I have the Yazaki Speedo.

Speedo fluctuates or is sometimes dead, odometer is not working, ABS light always on. Pickup at the diff seems fine. Will check the ground strap by

I'm taking out the speed per the FAQ to inspect the caps.

Question is can I drive my car (issues such as maintaining proper speed, etc., aside) with the cluster removed? I want to make sure I'm not going to deploy the SRS or something else that would be bad.

Thanks

Probably not for long 700

Without the AMP light circuit, the alternator won't put out. Which means running on the battery. I got about 50 miles on the V8 the time I did it.
