I am still around, a bit of a cancer scare (I'm getting old) 4 years ago but all is well.
Haven't been around much but I do check in out of habit once in a while. Every time I do I see that there are many people here that know more than I do about the current state of keeping these old beasts running so I just read a couple of posts and move on.
The 1800 is still up on the 4 post lift, its restoration finances were spent building my first Jeep, anything I may have had left over was spent building the 2nd one. Jeeps are far more practical up here, a real Cherokee (not the grand) is almost exactly like a 245 only it has real 4wd and can be built to go anywhere any sane person wants to go, the Wrangler takes me to the insane places ;-).
My '88 gets dusted off every spring now, still plugging along and performs pretty well up here at 7200' with the breathing enhancements I did years ago. I do not miss the city life at all, small town living really works for me, no self service junkyards but that is the only downside.
I let the page go last year, wasn't much money really but page views were down and I didn't care to do any updates to it. All the information on it was readily available elsewhere and it had lived its life and served its purpose so it was time to put it to bed.
Long live the venerable bricks and the Brickboard, my best to all the Volvo nuts out there.
