If I want to work on (as in solder) the electronic connection for the speedometer at the rear end should I just BP Blast the round holder thingy and then use channel locks on it?
What's on the inside of the round thingy?

its a magnet sending measured pulses as the speedometer window wheel spins inside the pumpkin.
