Are there any tips, tricks, procedures, etc. for getting clamp between the filler pipe and the fuel tank to fit ? The flanges and the oring are wider than the inside of the clamp.

    I was able to get the tank out and back in with the neck attached to the tank but it took two of us. I had assembled the clamp/ring loose enough to allow it to turn some then tightened it up when everything was back in place.

      As awkward as that sounds I will have to try that. I can't see any other way to compress the oring enough to get the clamp on.
