My 240 stalled out and would not restart 200 1989

Hey Everyone,

I have a 1989 Volvo 240 dl wagon, I was driving about 2 weeks ago, the vehicle sputtered and died and would not restart.

I called triple A made sure there was gas in it, but no luck the car will not start.

When I turn the key in the ignition the dash lights come on and the double click and hum of the fuel pump happens then nothing, engine does not turn.

Any Ideas ?

Thanks

David

When it initially stalled two weeks ago, did the
engine turn when you tried to start her up?

Right now it sounds like the battery is dead.

Should get that issue fixed before you further
    investigate.

On an '89 I might check the 25A fuse under the hood.

      Is the battery good?

Also, you might have corrosion at the battery terminals that prevents restart.
