I bought the Volvo rear cam seal installer part number 9995450.
What is the tool on the left used for it came in the box.

it's the hook to hang the tool on the board when you're done. Volvo oe, not typical pegboard. good luck, chuck.

yup.. funny that they send the Hanger for the tool. I've seen this with other Volvo special tools

I don't get how the tool hangs on that.
But I am also not familiar with the tool. Maybe it's obvious and I'm just not getting it.

Dear alschnertz,

Hope you're well. The "hanger" has a mounting plate, with two "lugs". These lugs fit into holes on a pegboard. The other part of the hanger - on which the tool is stored - is the round tube.

When mounted on the pegboard, vertically, the top end of the hanger's tube (that furthest from the narrow-diameter steel bar, that connects the tube to the mounting plate) points upward. To store the tool, it should be lowered gently onto the hanger's tube.

So for the rest of us, it is like the 16 penny nail into the stud bent up so you can plop the tool on it.
