New Nissen radiator leak- 200

Installed a new radiator with old hoses- previous radiator did not leak, however the fins were rotted- put the new nissen unit in very carefully- and I have a leak at the bottom of the left tank- any experiences? should I just call FCP for a new one, and swap it out rather than trying to trouble-shoot what is likely just a faulty unit?

Hello,

Yes I have had experiences. My experience has been that coolant stays in the frame and drips out for some time.

^G-man, this is new coolant, I know, because of the color- are you talking about coolant in the vehicle frame?

Usually the coolant pools under the radiator and drips out later. There may not be an actual leak, but if you are sure that you didn’t spill any and it keeps dripping for hours, then I’d say you have a definite warranty claim.

What came out was green- what went in is blue- it was poured in through the overflow tank and with precision- what I have puddling is Blue.

Hmm,

If your hoses are nice and tight, you should consider a warranty claim. As I said before.
