New 120 owner! 120-130

Greetings! I have just become the caretaker/ restorer of a 121 wagon. B20b powered, m41, barn find with some prior mud work, but all in all a very saveable usable car. Been around on the 200 forum for a few years, now pleased to meet everyone over here.

Did you get that name because you rode a 70's vintage Harley?
I remember going into the showroom and all the bikes had catch pans underneath them.

Actually I adopted that username when I had my TR3A. But I do have a '86 H-D FXR.

122s are quite simple cars and you'll find a lot of help here.
Your car is considered a 220, not a 121.
Regardless, welcome aboard.

Indeed welcome oilspot.

Note to alschnertz, 1969-1970 P220 were badged as "121" and should have a B20 engine with a single side drought Stromberg carburetor.

We never got 121 badged Volvos in the USA as these were the economy models

FYI, all 3 body styles, coupe, sedan and wagon could have been badged as a "121"

So if oilspots car is original, it may be a Canadian or European car brought into the good ole US of A.

The type no. Is 221341m, which according to my book translates to a b18a m40 wagon with some nonstandard spec. Most of the dash controls are printed in Swedish, and there's a round document holder under the dash, and a placard that reads "Sten Jansson, Motalavagen 19 Stockholm 08/604392. Any ideas? There are also some extra square holes in the front bumper, and wiring for driving lights or something present.

That'll be an import from Sweden. The round holder was for the tax disc, a required item! Put Motalavagen 19 Stockholm into Google and you'll be able to see where he lived. Still quite a few Sten Jansson in Stockholm if you really want to play detective.
A good idea to question the previous owner and see how far you can trace it back, maybe all the way to importation if you're lucky.
Holes in bumper might also be for the "American bar". Any holes in the tops of the over riders if you have them?
Pictures please!
