center armrest problems 200 1988

hello i got a center armrest recently I noticed some seem to have straight legs and some look to have bent legs, my car is an 88 and the seat belts are not built into the console, did i buy the wrong armrest? and if so can i maybe find the bent legs to replace the straight ones?

You can always bend the legs on the one you have if it causes you grief.

A straight leg armrest will fit fine in an '88, I've had one in mine for years. The bottom attaches to the same bolts that hold the seatbelt receivers, there are 2 large screws that go into the side of the console to secure it.

I recently picked up an armrest from a '91. The upholstered part is real shabby and I'm not likely to use it--willing to part with it. Write me at fastforwardphoto(AT)yahoo(DOT)com------Dave
