242 has a sagging door 200

Ok I've been searching for some hints on drivers side door hinge adjustment...I have found very little... I need some help. I know how to access the bolts but I need some clues on aligning ..
The door hangs low so you have to pull up to latch also the upper left has no clearance to the top off the fender .. So I have to move in two directions up and back.... HELP..

Thanks in advance

The hindge can be adjusted at two areas. The bolts that
attach the hindge to the door adjust the door in and outwards
mainly to align with the other body parts. The bolts that
attach the hindge to the car's body are behind the fuse area,
these are the ones you probably will need to attack.

The plastic around and behind the fuse area must be removed
in order to access these bolts. I would adjust these bolts
in order to get the door to move a little more to the rear
so that it does not rub the driver side front fender (upper
two bolts) and then adjust the lower two bolts a little more
than I adjusted the upper bolts in order to get the door to
raise up a bit in the back end. You will probably have to loosen
all four bolts a little in order to move the door more freely
before you adjust and tighten them up.
Good luck, take your time and you should eventually get it right.

There really isn't any "formula" for adjusting the door. I've seen a "bodyman" wedge a piece of lumber under a door and force it upward at the rear. Truly adjusting with the screws securing the hinges to the body is pretty much trial and error. Adjust a little, tighten the screws, check it---repeat as necessary. You'll be compensating for worn hinges -- the true "fix" would be to replace the hinge. -- Dave
