900 IRS shock replacement 900 1996

I have a 96 965 which is used hard. I live many miles up a dirt road and use the car for hauling stuff and towing. It's not the utility vehicle that my 245 was but it's what I've got. It has IRS/transverse leaf spring and I want to strengthen the load-carrying capacity. Were Nivomats ever fitted to this style? It currently has worn out Sachs shocks which need replacement and self-levelers make sense. If yes, can I retrofit Nivomats? If no, are there sturdy shocks available...Monroe Reflex seems to be the best rated.

Thanks

I think, but am not 100% sure, that some 960 wagons had Nivomats. Other than OEM, Monroe is the only one according to the following link. This info may be old, however.

If available, Koni would be great since they are adjustable. Or maybe Bilstein HD (Heavy Duty). Downside is they are both expensive...
