    Very interesting read! Thanks for sharing it!

    My father had an AMX when I was a kid, it was a really cool and unique car! I can remember getting toss around in that empty shell where you'd expect to find a backseat (funny, I don't remember any "Ramble seat"). It really stood out from the most of the American muscle cars of the era!

      My brother had a '69 AMX 390. That thing was a rocket, and also handled really well (remember Polyglas tires?). Haven't seen one in many years now...

      I found it rather interesting that the American inclusion was the AMX. An interesting choice though.

      And yeah, when looking through the pictures, I just thought "where the hell is the back seat? that car has more room back there than the Volvo by a long shot"

      Cool though. And I like how the AMX seats fold totally flat... Good camping car.

      Actually did that with my 1800S. Trip to Vegas, 3 adults. That back seat is way too small for a human on a ~1800 mile trip. So I took out the back seat and just filled it with blankets and pillows. Worked great!
